CADA’s Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Certification course provides the education and training needed to safely monitor patients receiving nitrous oxide sedation in a dental setting.
This flexible online course allows students to complete training on their own schedule while gaining the knowledge required to meet Tennessee certification requirements.
Nitrous Oxide is a commonly used analgesic for dental anxiety. As a registered dental assistant, you are allowed to monitor nitrous oxide, but not administer. Throughout this course you will learn the indications for nitrous oxide use, advantages and disadvantages, proper monitoring technique, and the health hazards and abuse potential of nitrous oxide.

Cost
$125 for the five-hour online course.
Hours
The class will have a minimum of five hours of study. When you register below, you will automatically be sent the link to take the course.
Exams and Grading
A single written exam will be given at the completion of the course. A passing grade of 75% must be achieved.
